Ready to learn Spanish but need some help with accommodations? We’re here to help! We offer three different types of housing options for our students:

Learn language and culture in a home stay.

If you are interested in immersing yourself in the rich culture of the Yucatan Peninsula as well as the Spanish language then this is the option for you! While living with your Mexican host family you will learn about daily cultural details that you can never learn from a book. And of course, you will have ample time to practice your Spanish outside of the classroom!

Stay in one of our rooms at the Chichen Itza School.

Language School Chichen Itza is located in downtown Playa del Carmen, one block from 5th avenue and two blocks from the beach. While staying at our school you’ll be centrally located to all that Playa del Carmen has to offer: Great restaurants, night-life, amazing beaches and local parks. Our single and shared rooms are located in the back courtyard of the school. You’ll have your own privacy but also have ample opportunity to participate in the weekly cooking and salsa classes that we offer to all of our students.

Extra Information

How to get to Playa del Carmen The journey from the airport to Playa del Carmen should take less than 1 hour. Students should fly into Cancun International Airport. There are direct flights from most major cities to Cancun which is just 60km (40 miles) north of Playa del Carmen. Students can catch a Riviera bus to Playa del Carmen from outside the Terminal. The bus leaves every 30 minutes from 08.00 to 23.30 and costs approximately 180$ pesos. Alternatively, students can take a taxi from the airport directly to their lodging in Playa del Carmen. A taxi from the airport will cost around 60-70 US$
